REQUEST: Prepare a reso~~fo~r Council's authorization to establish a separate account to accept registration fees for Internatio Crrbf oqui Conference on February 7-g, 2008. The estimated amount of the fees is $30,000. Appropriate these funds of $30,000 to Coqui Frog Eradication & Control Conference Account. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): The Coqui Frog Working Group (with County of Hawaii as lead agency) is organizing the First International Conference on the Coqui Frog to be held on February 7-g, 2008 in Waikoloa on the Island of Hawaii. The main objectives of this conference are the sharing of information and ideas with people working with Coqui frogs and other invasive amphibians, to establish professional relationships with world renowned experts, and to provide our island community with access to latest research efforts and information. The Coqui Frog Working Group will charge registration fees to attendees to defray the cost of the conference. The maximum amount of the registration fees is estimated at $30,000.
