No. 287-07 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers, Ben Franklin Bldg. <br /> TIME: 3:08 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 287-07, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 287-07, transmitted by Council Member Emily Naeole, via Communication <br /> <br /> No. 570, dated July 26, 2007, authorizes the Finance Director to enter into negotiations for the <br /> acquisition of Honolulu Landing in the District of Puna, Hawaii, identified by Tax Map <br /> Key:l-4-3:19 and 1-4-3:20. <br /> The Commission's updated list to the Mayor on December 27, 2006, ranked Honolulu Landing <br /> as the number five priority and assigned an 85% criteria score. Honolulu Landing is identified in <br /> the 2005 Hawaii County General Plan as both an important site for protection and an aze that <br /> should be developed for recreational use such as swimming, snorkeling, picnicking, camping and <br /> fishing.
