In addition, $16,451 worth of in-kind donations also were pro-
vided to community organizations across the island during FYE 2007.
Wal-Mart works with approximately 50 suppliers on the Big Island. In FYE 2007, Wal-Mart
Stores, Inc. spent approximately $188 million for merchandise and services with 488 suppliers
in the state of Hawaii. As a result of Wal-Mart's relationship with these suppliers, Wal-Mart sup-
ports 17,711 supplier jobs in the state of Hawaii. Supplier figures are provided by Dun & Brad-
street.
Wal-Mart operates a Hawaii purchasing office, based on Oahu, with a team of 24 associates.
Because of our unique geographic location and logistical requirements, our Hawaii operation is
the only state to have a separate buying office outside of the company's primary buying office
in Bentonville, Arkansas.
WAL*MARTc
www.wal martfacts.com
' August 2007
