Having <br /> served as one of the founding members of the Puna Wellness Coalition I <br /> have discovered firsthand that there is a critical need for additional medical <br /> services in the Puna District. <br /> Because of its central location we and, more importantly, many medical <br /> professionals, believe a medical clinic in Keaau would be an ideal location. <br /> We believe the subject vacant parcel is well suited for a clinic because it is <br /> in the central part of town but is off the main road through town, namely <br /> Old Volcano Highway. It is located between the existing County <br /> police/fire/court complex and the Community Center and is opposite the <br /> Hawaii Housing Authority's elderly housing complex.
