HHF works to preserve Hawat`i's unique architectural and cultural <br /> Joan Bennet heritage and believes that historic preservation is an important element in the <br /> Hartwell H.K. Blake present and future quality of life and economic viability of the state. <br /> Norbert M. Buelsing <br /> Michael T.Chinaka As called Eor I77 the County of Hawaii General Plan (2005), identification, <br /> David Cheever <br /> Gregory Cnun, Ph.D. designation and protection of Hawai`i's historic resources should be integrated <br /> Linda Faye Collins into the County's land use and development programs. The General Plan <br /> Eric G. Crispin recognized the community's concern for the loss of historic zsources, and also <br /> Stanton K.Enomoto established goals, policies and standards for protecting, restoring and enhancing <br /> Cindy Evans sites, buildings and objects that are significant to the history and culture of the <br /> Carol Fukunaga <br /> Pete, s. Hu island. A local preservation pzogtam, and eventually a Certified Local <br /> Robert lopa Government, would implement these broad statement through specific actions. <br /> Lorraine Mtnatoisni Palumbo. Pn.o. County. As an advisory board, the CRC would review proposals that could <br /> trustee tmeritos itnpact the Island's historic utd cultural sites. It would provide a foram for <br /> Lani Ma'a Lapilio public education and discussion about how to promote Hawaii Island's heritage ~ <br /> E. oFfi~m and ensure that new development is mmpadble with historic resources.
