Initially, Bill 171 was introduced to set up a County account to accept monies <br /> and disburse amounts for facilities use, cost of meals, and other conference expenses. <br /> However, subsequent to the Council's passage of this bill on first reading on October 3, <br /> 2007, the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii (RCUH) has taken over the <br /> administration of the conference finances instead of the County. Thus, the separate <br /> account is no longer required.
