Waipio Ranger Pllot Program Year Two -County of HawaG Dept. of Research and Development <br /> Contract No. BT-07-27 <br /> ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall perform and provide, in a satisfactory and proper <br /> manner as determined by the STATE, all goods and services described below and in the <br /> CONTRACTOR's accepted proposal dated September 13, 2006 ("PROPOSAL"), <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, including the following: <br /> 1. The CONTRACTOR shall operate the Waipio Ranger Pilot Program to <br /> contract rangers to staff the county park at the Waipio Scenic Overlook to <br /> monitor commercial and visitor activity, report any illegal activity to law <br /> enforcement, serve as educational resources for the public, enhance the <br /> visitor experience, and protect the environment; and as further described <br /> in the PROPOSAL (hereinafter referred to as the "PROJECT"). <br /> 2. STATE funds shall be used for expenses related to the PROJECT within <br /> the context of the CONTRACTOR's budget, attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein as Exhibit B. Any change to this budget shall require <br /> prior written approval by the STATE. <br /> <br /> ~ 3. The CONTRACTOR shall use its best efforts to perform the goals and <br /> objectives stated in its PROPOSAL. <br /> 4. The HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY shall be credited as a sponsor on <br /> all advertising and promotional materials. The CONTRACTOR shall <br /> consult with the STATE's marketing contractors to coordinate mazketing <br /> efforts as appropriate including, to the extent possible, listing any public <br /> events on web sites and calendars of events, and participating in the <br /> "Hawai`i Knowledge Bank" program. If applicable, the CONTRACTOR <br /> shall submit a final schedule and copies of all advertising and promotional <br /> activities with the final written report to the STATE. <br /> 5. Prior to the release of STATE funds, the CONTRACTOR shall submit <br /> proof of matching funds of at least 100% of the award amount of SIXTY <br /> THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($60,000.00). Cash contributions <br /> shall be demonstrated in the fomt of receipts of deposit or binding letters <br /> of commitment. <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />
