Higa, Council Member kw <br /> C_n <br /> Cn <br /> DATE: November 14, 2007 <br /> RE: Proposed Bill to Divide Leleiwi Beach Park into Two New Beach Parks, Name <br /> these Two New Parks Pursuant to Chapter 15, Article 8 and to Retain Current <br /> Provisions for Consumption of Intoxicating Liquors Pursuant to Chapter 14, <br /> Article 1 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as Amended) <br /> For your consideration, please find attached a bill to divide what is currently Leleiwi Beach Park <br /> into two separate beach parks. <br /> Leleiwi Beach Park is located in the Keaukaha area of South Hilo, at the end of Kalaniana'ole <br /> Avenue. <br /> <br /> Leleiwi Beach Park encompasses two distinct tax map keys (TMKs). The attached bill proposes <br /> the removal of the name Leleiwi Beach Park, the creation of two separate parks (one on each <br /> TMK), and the names of the two new beach parks: Wai`olena and Wai`uli. <br /> <br /> The bill also proposes to retain current provisions relating to the consumption of intoxicating <br /> liquors.
