MtY 0I M COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 451 {)'7 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) WHEREAS, the students from the Waimea Middle School (a Hawaii Charter Conversion School) Leadership organization will attend a Disney Leadership conference in February 2008 in southern California allowing them to improve their leadership, decision- making and teamwork skills; and WHEREAS, experiencing globally renowned institutions such as the University of California, Irvine and the Discovery Science Center will help enhance the notion of citizenship, leadership and personal responsibility to this already community-oriented organization and help develop these notions amongst the community; and WHEREAS, the Ho`okako`o Corporation (a 501 (c)(3) organization) will act as fiscal sponsors for the Waimea Middle School; and WHEREAS, contingency funds from Council District 9, in combination with funds from local contributions and fundraisers provided by the Waimea Middle School Leadership organization, will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attomey to be used to fund overall costs for 20 chosen Waimea Middle School students to participate in the 2008 Disney Leadership Conference; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $6,208 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $6,208 CREDITED TO: 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $6,208 Prosecuting Attomey OCE Misc. Contract Services (Ho`okako`o Corporation-Waimea Middle School)
