RULE N0. 7 <br /> SUBCOMMITTEES <br /> 1. Establishment. A standing committee may, by adopting a motion of a majority of its <br /> members, initiate and establish a subcommittee. <br /> 2. Pur ose. The Chairperson of the initiating committee shall specify the purpose of <br /> the subcommittee and shall set a schedule for the completion of its work. <br /> 3. Chairperson. The Chairperson of the initiating committee shall remain as <br /> Chairperson of the subcommittee, unless otherwise specified by a majority of the members of the <br /> standing committee. <br /> 4. Members. The members of any subcommittee shall be selected from members of <br /> <br /> the initiating committee and shall consist of not less than three (3) members who shall be selected <br /> by a majority vote of the members of the initiating committee. <br /> 5. Meetinas. Meetings of a subcommittee shall be conducted in accordance with the <br /> law and these rules. <br /> 6. Reports. Upon the request of the initiating committee Chairperson or at the <br /> completion of its work, the subcommittee shall file a brief written report its findings to the initiating <br /> standing committee. <br /> 7. Other. In all other matters, each subcommittee shall conduct its business in <br /> accordance with these rules, the Hawaii County Charter, and the Hawaii Revised Statutes. <br /> 11 <br /> <br />
