RULE NO. 13 <br /> PETITIONS <br /> 1. Any person may petition the Council. Petitions shall be in writing, signed by the <br /> petitioners. <br /> 2. All petitions and other papers addressed to the Council shall be presented by the <br /> <br /> Chairperson or by a Council Member, and shall be endorsed by the person presenting it. The <br /> petition or other papers shall be made part of the official records kept by the Clerk, provided that <br /> <br /> all documents so received shall be referred to Committee as appropriate. <br /> 3. A brief statement of the contents of any petition or other papers shall be made <br /> <br /> verbally by the one presenting the same. <br /> 4. Petitions relating to Initiative and Referendum shall follow procedures pursuant to <br /> <br /> Article XI, Nawai~i County Charter. <br /> 19 <br /> <br />
