tYwM <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> A <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4`73 OS <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee on the Status of Women is a program sponsored by the <br /> Office of the Mayor; and <br /> WHEREAS, "Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conferences" is a <br /> project organized and planned by the Committee on the Status of Women; and <br /> WHEREAS, the goal of Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conferences <br /> is to increase awareness of the illegal and harmful social effects of teen dating violence and to <br /> advocate for abolishing its prevalence and cultural acceptance among teens; and <br /> WHEREAS, as the result of the Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education <br /> Conference held in East Hawaii and West Hawaii on October 18 and 19, 2007, over 1,300 <br /> emails were received by conference speaker Dr. Jill Murray, from teens and adults requesting <br /> advice and information; and <br /> WHEREAS, responses to Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conferences <br /> have been overwhelming and demonstrate the need for ongoing education and follow-up conferences <br /> and presentations throughout Hawaii County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the <br /> Oftce of the Mayor for the Committee on the Status of Women's Teen Dating Violence Prevention <br /> Peer Education Conferences program; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC-Contingency Relief $3,000 <br /> <br />
