My family is in our

second generation of agribusiness, a business that produces Hawaii
anthurium and other tropical cut flowers and foliage and tropical blooming

plants. Our products are distributed and exported locally, nationally, and

internationally.
Please do not allow this proposed moratorium on Taro (Kato) and

Coffee to negatively impact GMO research for the floricultural industry in

Hawaii. This research is necessary for our industry to stay competitive in
the global market place. Technology can give us a competitive edge and it

needs to be supported and not suppressed.

Supporting Hawaii Agriculture
it

Eric S.
