Project Number 04-WF-17 <br /> C O N T R A C T <br /> THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br /> indicated below, is effective as of January 1, 2008, <br /> by and between the Department of the Attorney General, State of <br /> Hawaii, hereinafter called "Agency", by and through the Attorney <br /> General, and Hawaii Police Department, hereinafter called <br /> "Grantee". <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and Law <br /> Enforcement Act of 1994, 42 U. S. C. 3796 et seq., as amended <br /> (hereinafter "Act"), was enacted to make grants to states for <br /> developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and <br /> prosecutorial strategies and victim services in cases involving <br /> crimes against women. Offices and agencies of the state <br /> government, units of local government, Indian tribes, and non- <br /> <br /> profit, non-governmental victim services programs are eligible <br /> to apply to states for subgrants under the eleven broad purpose <br /> areas: <br /> Rev. 08/04 1 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />
