REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> AND PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> DATE: January 23, 2008 RE: Communication No. 912 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Ben Franklin Bldg., 2nd Floor <br /> 333 Kilauea Avenue <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> <br /> TIME: 1:45 p.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Communication No. 912, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Communication No. 912, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 24, 2007, submits for <br /> <br /> confirmation the appointment of Carolle Brulee-Wilson and the re-appointment of Penny Fox to the Hawai `i <br /> <br /> County Veterans Advisory Commission. <br /> Carolle Brulee-Wilson worked at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from 2000 to 2003 and has been a <br /> member of the DAV since 2003. She states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, <br /> she will serve a term to end on December 31, 2012. <br /> Penny Fox was a member of the U.S. Army from 1990 to 1999. She is currently a member of the Hawai i <br /> County Veterans Advisory Commission, and her term expired on December 31, 2007.
