w~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 535 U8 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the Real Women Creative Writing Competition celebrates National <br /> Women's History Month held in the month of March; and <br /> WHEREAS, communities nationwide recognize and celebrate the lives of women of all <br /> races, ages, cultures, ethnic traditions and ways of life; and <br /> WHEREAS, students from Hawaii County honor the women in their family or in their <br /> community who inspires them or who has made a difference in their lives by writing an essay <br /> about these women; and <br /> WHEREAS, public, private, charter, and Hawaiian immersion schools are invited to <br /> participate in the Real Women Creative Writing Contest; and <br /> WHEREAS, at a luncheon hosted by the Committee on the Status of Women, the <br /> students, their "real women" nominees, their parents, teachers and principals are recognized and <br /> honored; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the <br /> Office of the Mayor for the Committee on the Status of Women, to be used towards the Real Women <br /> Creative Writing Contest activities; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $3,000 <br /> <br />
