BERTIL F. CARSON ,
P. O. Box 10509 ~ " ' ~ <<~
-
Hilo, HI 96721

January 3, 1997
The Honorable Aaron Chung
Councilmember -Finance Chair
HAWAII COUNTRY COUNCIL
25 Aupuni Street
Hilo, HI 96720
Dear Councilmember Chung:
As a person acutely aware of the needs of our senior citizens, I am asking for your
special attention to the application from Hawaii Island Adult Care, Inc. (HIAC) for
funding from the County of Hawaii.
This agency has a proven track record for serving the frail elderly, physically or
mentally challenged adults, and persons with Alzheimer's disease. For more than 21
years, their programs allow these special people to continue living at home or with
family members, rather than being institutionalized.
With the County's support, HIAC can proceed successfully in making a difference in the
lives of the individuals and families they serve.
Sincerely,
Bertil F. Larson
