REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> <br /> DATE: January 23, 2008 RE: Comm. No. 887/Res. No. 466-08 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> <br /> TIME: 10:20 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 466-08, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 466-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication <br /> <br /> No. 887, dated December 21, 2007, amends Salary Ordinance No. 07-76, by amending <br /> Section 3, Rates of Compensation, deleting the Executive Pay Plan, and amending <br /> Section 7.02(A), by establishing pay rates for the County Physicians to reflect a pay adjustment <br /> effective December 1, 2007, which will coincide with the other executives' pay increase. <br /> Pursuant to Article 3, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, interim amendments to the <br /> ordinance establishing the pay plan for the County, maybe by resolution of the Council provided <br /> a revised Salary Ordinance is enacted at least once annually. <br /> A motion to postpone was made and seconded, followed by a vote by the nine Members in <br /> attendance to forward this measure to the next Committee on Finance meeting scheduled for <br /> January 23, 2008. <br /> Committee Member Bob Jacobson requested cost effective information to which Mike Ben, <br /> Director of Human Resources, provided with regards to the number of patients that was seen <br /> from 2003 through 2007, which totaled 4,543. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purposes and intent of Resolution No. 466-08, <br /> and recommends its adoption. <br /> la <br /> AYES NOES A&E EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> FORD X <br /> ?ttGA x COI~ITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> HOFFMANN X ~ <br /> IKEDA x l <br /> JACOBSON X ~ <br /> NAEOLE x DOMINIC YAGO , C IR <br /> PILAGO x FC REP N~. ~37 <br /> YAGONG X <br /> vosx?moTO x ADOPTED: FEB 0 6 2008 <br /> <br />
