No. 930 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 10:20 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 930, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 930, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated January 7, 2008, nominate <br /> Sara B. Moon of Council District 4 to the County of Hawaii Public Access, Open Space and <br /> <br /> Natural Resources Preservation Commission. <br /> Ms. Moon presently is the co-chair of the Sierra Club Moku Loa Group Outings. She is the Leleiwi <br /> Community Volunteer Coordinator, and the Volunteer Technical Director of both the Hilo Chinese <br /> <br /> New Year Festival and the Hawaii World Heritage Festival. She is not affiliated with any political <br /> <br /> party. If confirmed, Ms. Moon will serve a term to end on December 31, 2012, and will be <br /> <br /> replacing Benedict Yung, whose term expired on December 31, 2007. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIV, Section 14-5, Hawaii County Charter, there shall be a board of ethics, <br /> consisting of five members who shall be residents of the County, appointed by the mayor with the <br /> approval of the Council. <br /> Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Sarah B.
