This draft contains the amendment to <br /> Draft 1 of this resolution that was approved by the Council during its meeting on February 6, <br /> 2008. <br /> <br /> The approved amendment provides for a range in fuel tax amount from 8.8 cents-per- <br /> gallon to 13.0 cents-per-gallon, and reads as follows: <br /> <br /> "NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII, that it does hereby fix, determine, and extend the amount of the <br /> County of Hawaii fuel tax to be levied and collected by the Department of Taxation of the State <br /> of Hawaii, in accordance with law, at [eight ] an amount <br /> between eight and eight-tenths (8.8) cents to thirteen (13) cents per gallon for diesel on-highway <br /> and gasoline on-highway to be determined after holding a public hearing and to be in effect until <br /> and unless otherwise provided by another resolution adopted as above provided." <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 504-08, Draft 2, will be subject to a public hearing held on March 11, <br /> 2008, at 6:00 p.m. in Kailua Kona. The public hearing will be videoconferenced to Hilo and <br /> Waimea to allow for satellite participation. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 504-08, Draft 2, will then be placed on the March 25, 2008, Council <br /> agenda.
