In spite of much testimony as to how dangerous the road (Kaloko) was and <br /> how unwise it was to put additional traffic on this road, the council caved in to the <br /> <br /> pleas of the property owners to subdivide, with the provision that they would have to wait <br /> for two years to do so to give time for the intersection to be made safer. Given that <br /> there was already some funding allotted for this purpose, the council members were <br /> confident that this could be achieved and even made it sound as though they would apply <br /> their collective might to accomplish this task. <br /> Instead, a budget was passed last year that didn't mention this road and a windfall from <br /> the sale of county land is being divided up for various purposes, with no mention of <br /> improving the Kaloko intersection.
