This is from his letter to me on February 14, 2008. <br /> <br /> As far as the County taking over the road for "dedication" of improvements and <br /> maintenance, I an AGAINST any such proposal. There are many private roads in <br /> <br /> subdivisions in Puna that have been established and used for sub-division puproses long <br /> before this road was made into a private subdivision. <br /> <br /> In fact, living in Wailea, I would like to see the county spend more funds on maintaining the <br /> old highway that runs into Kolekole Park and into the Hakalau Gulch both mods are in <br /> need of maintenace before they deteriorate and need extensive repairs.
