Baker of Honokaa (Council District 1) is a <br /> seven year resident of Hawaii, and since 1996 has been <br /> self-employed as a paralegal/consultant. Prior to that, <br /> she was employed by Terrance R. Shumaker, Esq. (1990-1996). <br /> She is active with the Hamakua Business Association and the <br /> Hamakua Action Committee. Ms. Baker is a Democrat. <br /> • Helen T. Tayamen of Naalehu (Council District 6) is a <br /> lifetime resident of Hawaii, and since 1991 has been <br /> employed as a packer at Punalu'u Bakery. She is active in <br /> the Ka'u Hawaiian Civic Club, the ILWU Unit 1414, and the <br /> Naalehu School PTA.
