MtY N,~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 54'7 08 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> <br /> YEAR AND MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE OF A <br /> <br /> COPY MACHINE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK-ELECTION <br /> <br /> DIVISION <br /> WHEREAS, section 10-11 of the Hawaii County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year <br /> <br /> and more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Election Division's current copy machine has been in service for seven <br /> <br /> years and is outdated and often breaks down; and <br /> WHEREAS, the new copier will be able to fax and scan documents to improve the <br /> efficiency of the Election Division; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk-Election Division wishes to enter into a five <br /> (5) year lease, for a copy machine, at an approximate cost of $228.37 per month (existing <br /> machine cost is $224.60 per month) or approximately $2,740.44 per year; and <br /> WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds budgeted in the current fiscal year to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the lease agreement; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into the multi-year lease agreement <br /> for copy machine for the Election Division of the Office of the County Clerk. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br /> obligations of the County under the lease agreement; and <br /> <br />
