Yuen, Director <br /> County of Hawaii <br /> Planning Department <br /> 101 Pauahi Street <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Subject: Parker Ranch 2020 Project - Parker Ranch, Inc. <br /> Complaince with Condition H of Ordinance No. 96-117 <br /> Waimea, South Kohala, Hawaii Island <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Yuen: <br /> <br /> This is in regard to Parker Ranch's compliance with Condition H of Ordinance No. 96-117 <br /> which rezoned land in Waimea as part of the Parker Ranch 2020 development. <br /> <br /> More specifically, Condition H of this Ordinance requires that Parker Ranch shall make its fair <br /> share contribution of $3,490.85 per residential lot, as may be adjusted, to support park and <br /> recreational facilities to mitigate potential regional impacts of the subject property. This <br /> condition further provide that: <br /> <br /> The cost of constructing the improvements and the fair market value of land <br /> contributed required in Condition G and M(1), shall be credited against the <br /> sum specified in Condition H.1. for Parks and Recreation. <br /> <br /> Condition M(1 )h. require the provision of a ten (10) acre park within the commercial zoned lands <br /> adjacent to the existing Parker Ranch Center. More specifically, Condition h. required that: <br /> <br /> Within the commercial zoned area, a minimum of ten acres of land shall be <br /> set aside for open space or park purposes for the general public. Said open <br /> space/park areas shall be in the general location of the heritage park as <br /> delineated in Exhibit "D" and shall be improved with a multi-purpose <br /> athletic field, meeting with the approval of the Planning Director in <br /> consultation with the Department of Parks and Recreation.
