<br /> <br /> ti <br /> o <br /> m <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII W STATE OF HAI <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> cn <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the West Hawaii (Veter-mss] Veterans' Cemetery Development and <br /> Expansion Association (WHVC) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to our <br /> veterans; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the federal government recently completed an estimate for the expansion to <br /> the West Hawaii jV*tera"j Veterans' Cemetery by providing an additional 300 burial sites, <br /> which will expand the cemetery northward and add a new columbaria area, a committal service <br /> shelter, maintanence building, cremains area, scattering garden, walkways, road, and a restroom; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS,. WHVC is requesting financial assistance to purchase flagpoles and flags, <br /> while the federal government will provide holes and sleeves for the flagpoles, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase includes 12-25 feet telescoping, collapsible, and portable, <br /> three sets of 4 feet x 6 feet nylon U.S. flags (one set ceremonial, two sets for regular use), one <br /> POW/MIA flag, and one flag of each of the six services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast <br /> Guard, and Merchant Marines); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Parks and Recreation, to be used towards the West Hawaii [VeteFan-'s] <br /> Veterans' Cemetery Development and Expansion for financial assistance to provide the <br /> cemetery with twelve (12) flagpoles, and flags; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI61 that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $7,705 <br /> <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC - Contingency Relief $7,705 <br />
