The Hawai'i County Council has shown their commitment to addressing the domestic violence problem by also providing the funding, out of their the Clerk Council Services - Council Contingency Relief account, for this position. Enclosed is a resolution creating a Program Manager, SR-24, position specifically for the community violence program within the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. A new generic class specification for the "Program Manager" position has been established by the Department of Human Resources and states that this position is located at the departmental or division level, with responsibility to oversee and/or to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activities for one or more of the department's programs.
