I
know that once these are washed into the sea, they are killing our marine
life, and I see little children picking them up as playthings. This is gross
and unhealthy for everyone.

My family and 1 use Big Island parks regularly and it is hard not to notice
the amount of tobacco litter, mostly cigarettes butts. All our children and
families deserve a clean and healthy place to enjoy outdoor activities, and
the turtles, dolphins, and fish deserve the same.
I again strongly urge the Council to vote yes to pass Bill 224 in its
current form. It is the responsibility of local governments to protect the
health and well being of its citizens.

Sincerely, Deb

Deborah J.
