My husband and I <br /> do not smoke and we are trying to protect our children from the harmful effects of second hand smoke <br /> as well as discourage them from ever smoking. In addition to the unsightly litter that results from <br /> smokers at the beach there is the concern for children playing in the sand who come up with cigarette <br /> butts in there hands. We are all also concerned about the effects of the toxic litter from cigarettes on <br /> our marine animals.
