Bill 257, Draft 3, is a result of amendments proposed in <br /> Communication No. 1056.11, less Item 5, which proposed to delete language regarding the <br /> effective clause of the ordinance. Item 5 was struck from Communication No. 1056.11 by verbal <br /> consent of the council. <br /> <br /> Bill 257, Draft 3, is also a product of amendments proposed in Communication No. 1056.12. The <br /> amendments proposed in Communication No. 1056.12 were voted on separately. <br /> The following amendments proposed in Communication No. 10556.12 were approved by the <br /> council: <br /> <br /> 1. Replacing "ten" with "fifteen" in section 11-5(c)(1), relating to the required amount <br /> of registered voters signing petitions for initiative and referendum. <br /> <br /> 2.
