<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 2007 MARIJUANA ARRESTS AND ASSOCIATED OFFENSES <br /> (HAWAII COUNTY-WIDE) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In 2007 Hawaii County Police arrested a total of 542 persons for marijuana offenses. <br /> This is further separated into 447 adult offenders and 95 juvenile offenders. The <br /> following is a breakdown of other offenses they were also arrested for at the time. The <br /> numbers reflect an individual person on a specific date, for instance if a suspect was <br /> arrested for five separate marijuana offenses on a specific date, it would be counted as <br /> one arrest and not five. If this same individual was arrested for an additional marijuana <br /> offense(s) on another date during the year, (not related to the previous) it was counted as <br /> another arrest. <br /> <br /> The following does not include what other offenses a person arrested for marijuana has <br /> had in their past and is specific to only the date of marijuana arrest. The other offense <br /> categories listed may overlap (example: a person arrested for marijuana along with <br /> firearm offense, and traffic offense would show up being counted in the firearm category <br /> as well as traffic category.) <br /> <br /> <br /> 447 Adult Arrests for Marijuana <br /> <br /> ~.r <br /> Marijuana possession only: 178 persons <br /> <br /> Other non-marijuana drug possession: 153 persons <br /> (example: crystal methamphetamine, cocaine) <br /> <br /> Illegal gun/firearm offense: 46 persons <br /> (Felon in possession, unregistered, stolen) <br /> <br /> Operating vehicle under Influence of Intoxicant: 36 persons <br /> (*29 are DUI-Liquor related, 7 DUI-Drug related) <br /> <br /> Outstanding arrest warrant (Contempt/Faiture to Appear): 32 persons <br /> <br /> Traffic offense (misdemeanor and above): 26 persons <br /> <br /> Liquor offense (excluding OVII): 14 persons <br /> <br /> Possession of deadly weapon: 6 persons <br /> (switchblade knife, brass knuckles etc.) <br /> <br /> Abuse Family/Household member: 5 persons <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />
