BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> The Department of Human Services, Office of Youth Services is providing <br /> funds to further the education of our DARE officers. The training will <br /> include attending the DARE Officers Association Conference on Kauai, <br /> National DARE Officers Association Conference in New Mexico, DARE <br /> Facilitator training in Los Angeles, DARE Officer Senior High Training in <br /> Los Angeles and National DARE Parent Program training in Los Angeles. The <br /> officers that attend these seminars will return and teach the other DARE <br /> officers. <br /> These courses will allow the officers to discuss and update the curriculum <br /> and teaching methods presently taught in the schools.
