Hawaii 967?0 <br />Your Committee on Finance. to which was referred Bill No. 106, reports as hillo~~s: <br />Bill No. 106, transmitted by Director of Finance William "l~akaba, cia Communication No.'_29, <br />dated April 21, 2003, amends Chapter 2 of the Hawaii County Codc 1983 (1995 Edition). <br />relating to administration. <br />Bill No. 106 proposes to add a new item to Chapter?, Article d, Section 3-I 1 of the Hawaii <br />County Code which relates to the issuance of warrants that will allow the County of I lawai'i to <br />issue checks, or use other means to pay ow' creditors and employees. rather than issuing <br />warrants. <br />Currently, the County issues warrants, which are presented to the bank I~>r redemption. The fee <br />for this service will be increasing significantly un July 1. 2003.
