19. Land Study Bureau: This soil is classified as "E" or very poor by the Land Study <br />Bureaus' Overall Master Productivity Rating. <br />20. Surrounding Zoning/Land Uses: The proposed development would not impact the <br />immediate adjacent properties as lands are a mix of multi -family residential (RM -1 and <br />RM -4) and (RD -3.75), commercial, and single family residential designations. Across <br />Hualalai Road is Hualalai Center with medical services (Kaiser Permanente) and <br />adjacent to this property are other medical and commercial facilities that may provide <br />support for the project. The State Land Use designations for this area is Urban, other <br />than a small portion of the subject property that is the subject of a boundary <br />amendment. <br />PUBLIC FACILITIES AND UTILITIES <br />21. Access: The access to the site will be via a single access from Hualalai Road. Hualalai <br />Road has a 50 foot wide right-of-way with approximately 20 feet of pavement, <br />unimproved shoulders and no improved pedestrian access. This single access point will <br />meet with the requirements of the Department of Public Works. <br />22. Water: Water can be made available to the site from an 12 -inch line along Kuakini <br />Highway. <br />23. Wastewater: Wastewater from the project will be disposed of through the Kealakehe <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />24. Electrical/Telephone: Electrical service is available to the property from Hawaii <br />Electric Light Co. Inc., and telephone service is available from GTE Hawaiian Tel. <br />25. Police/Fire/Medical: Police services are provided by the County of Hawaii from its <br />Kealakehe and Kailua-Kona stations. Fire protection is also provided by the County of <br />Hawaii from its Kailua-Kona, Kealakehe, Keauhou and Captain Cook stations. <br />Emergency medical and paramedical services are also provided by the Hawaii County <br />Fire Department. Kona Hospital is located at Kealakekua. <br />26. Other essential utilities and services are or will be made available to the property. <br />-5- <br />
