Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was reterred Bill No. 328, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 328, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 771, <br />dated September 22, 2004, amends Ordinance No. 04-74, as amended, the Operating Budget, <br />ending.lune 30. 2005. The amendment is as follows: <br />from: <br />3303.61 Federal Grants-Volcano Fire Truck General $250,000 <br />Ib: <br />010-221-5228.06 Volcano Fire Truck -Federal General $250,000 <br />On July 23. 2004, the Hawaii County Council adopted Resolution 209-04, which authorized the <br />County of Hawaii Fire Department to accept the aforementioned funds from the United State <br />Department of Interior National Park Services. These funds will be used towards the purchase of <br />a structural tire engine for Fire Station 19 (Volcano). <br />fo purchase a fully equipped tire truck. the amount of $250,000 is insufficient. The additional <br />County funding needed to complete this purchase is included in the Fire Department Fire <br />Protection account in the current budget. <br />Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 328 and <br />recommends it pass first reading. <br />smc <br /> A1'rV NOES \&F.
