No. 777/Bill No. 334 <br />Council ('hair and Members <br />I Iawai'i County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 334, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 334, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 777, <br />dated September 22, 2004, amends Ordinance No. 04-74, as amended, the Operating Budget, <br />ending June 30, 2005. The amendment is as follows: <br />From: <br />3303.39 Federal Grants -Traffic Training and General $12,475 <br />Equipment <br />lo: <br />010-201-5216.13 Traffic Training and Equipment General $12,475 <br />The Police Department will he receiving additional funds from the State Department of <br />Transportation Public Affairs -Safe Community Program to obtain updated training and <br />equipment fbr its Traffic Investigation Grant Program. Specifically, the funds will be used to <br />reduce the number of alcohol related fatalities and injuries, increase public awareness, and <br />provide a constant deterrence against drunk driving.
