It has been a traditional surfing venue and provides recreational opportunities for residents <br /> and visitors alike. It is, in the words of a former world-champion surfer, a "gem" that should be <br /> plescrvcd in its natural, pristine ,talc. <br /> <br /> Over 1,400 people have signed o petition in support of this land exchange. I have yet to <br /> rnect anyone who favors development of this unique, shoreline property. This resolution would <br /> provide a creative opportunity to resolve the present conflict over this property, which is the <br /> subject of a contested case and a lawsuit. Passing this resolution would also reflect favorably on <br /> file County Council and County administration without irrevocably committing it to the <br /> exchange. <br /> <br /> Please give this Resolution a favorable recommendation.
