This added to the previous 1,122 signatures submitted to <br /> your department shows strong community support for this resolution. <br /> Recent large-scale developments proposed for the area between Kailua and Keahou <br /> suggest the need for new parks to keep up with this growth. We need to look at the <br /> long-term for this four and a half-mile stretch along Ali'i drive without any parks. <br /> The Beach at Wai'aha is one of the few areas left that could be used to benefit residents <br /> and tourists alike. Kahalu'u and White Sands Beach Park are already overcrowded and <br /> the other beach parks are many miles to the North. <br /> Please consider the fact that now is the time to acquire this shoreline parcel before it is <br /> built upon.
