Edie <br /> of Ka'u to the Hawaii County Board of Appeals to replace Deanna <br /> Hammersley of Kona who resigned on May 13, 1998, as she is <br /> leaving the County for an extended period of time. <br /> Mr. Edie is a 28-year resident of Hawaii. Since 1983, he has <br /> been with the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation, and <br /> currently serves as its manager. His community activities <br /> include membership to the Aloha Performing Art Center, the <br /> Volcano Art Center, and the Pahala Community Adult Education <br /> Program. Mr. Edie is not a member of any political party. <br /> If approved, Mr. Edie will serve the balance of the unexpired <br /> term which will end on December 31, 1999.
