DS 64 IDtt~.Ft' 3) <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br />(2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 2, section 24-267, schedule 15 (One way <br />streets), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended) is <br />amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />"( 1 Haleki`i Street. All ¢eneral public vehicular traffic shall move in the <br />eastbound direction only from 3.30 p m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday except holidays for the Haleki`i Street Extension (four thousand <br />feet) extendine from the Mamalahoa HiQhwa~ypass to a point 600 feet <br />makai of the Muli Street intersection." <br />SECTION 2. New material is underscored. Material to be repealed is bracketed <br />and stricken. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken <br />material and underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 3. This ordinance shall sunset six months after the opening of the <br />Haleki`i Street Extension for public use. Upon termination of the one-way restriction, the <br />Haleki`i Street Extension extending four thousand feet eastbound from the Mamalahoa <br />Bypass Highway will be closed to public traffic and will be available for emergency use <br />only. <br />SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any <br />person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br />application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
