COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. ~_ ORDINANCE NO. DS 64 IDtt~.Ft' 3) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 2, section 24-267, schedule 15 (One way streets), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended) is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: "( 1 Haleki`i Street. All ¢eneral public vehicular traffic shall move in the eastbound direction only from 3.30 p m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday except holidays for the Haleki`i Street Extension (four thousand feet) extendine from the Mamalahoa HiQhwa~ypass to a point 600 feet makai of the Muli Street intersection." SECTION 2. New material is underscored. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall sunset six months after the opening of the Haleki`i Street Extension for public use. Upon termination of the one-way restriction, the Haleki`i Street Extension extending four thousand feet eastbound from the Mamalahoa Bypass Highway will be closed to public traffic and will be available for emergency use only. SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
