The proposed changes expand concurrency requirements to include <br /> parks and recreational facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and police and firefighting <br /> facilities. Evaluation of the adequacy of existing facilities would be prepared by the appropriate <br /> county department, namely the department of parks and recreation, the department of <br /> environmental management, the police department, and the fire department, with <br /> recommendations transmitted to the county council for review and rendering of a final decision <br /> at the time of rezoning. <br /> <br /> The resolution requests that the planning director and planning commission, pursuant to <br /> sul section 25-2-43(b), submit comments and recommendations on the proposed zoning code <br /> amendments as set forth in the attached bill for an ordinance, or prepare a similar bill for an <br /> ordinance to create concurrency standards for public parks and recreational facilities, wastewater <br /> treatment facilities, and police and firefighting facilities in change of zone actions. The <br /> resolution requests that the proposed bill for an ordinance be transmitted to the council for <br /> consideration and action within 120 days from the transmittal date of this resolution to the <br /> planning director. <br /> <br /> The draft bill showing the proposed modifications to section 25-2-46 related to concurrency <br /> requirements is attached as Exhibit "A."
