No. 1224/Bill No. 305 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 11:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 305, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Bill No. 305, transmitted jointly with Bill 304, by Finance Director William Takaba, via <br /> Communication No. 1224, dated May 7, 2008, amends Chapter 18, Articles 1, 2, and 3, of the <br /> Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), relating to common carriers, taxicabs and school <br /> buses. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this measure is to amend the referenced chapter of the Hawaii County Code to <br /> reflect the movement of the driver licensing, periodic motor vehicle inspection (PMVI) and <br /> public transportation related responsibilities and staff from the Hawaii County Police <br /> Department to the Department of Finance.
