The property is located at the south end of Naniloa Street and adjacent <br /> to the White Sands Beach Estates and Keauhou View Estates Subdivisions, Kapalaalaea, North <br /> Kona, Hawaii. <br /> <br /> The State Land Use Boundary Amendment application requesting to change the State Land Use <br /> district for the subject property from Agricultural to Urban was previously transmitted to you by <br /> letter dated June 12, 2008. The Commission at its meeting on June 20, 2008, also approved the <br /> applicant's request for a Special Management Area Use Permit to allow the development of a <br /> 65-lot single family residential subdivision and related improvements. <br /> <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone: <br /> <br /> The applicant requests a Change of Zone from Agricultural 5-acre (A-5a) to <br /> Single-Family Residential 7,500 square feet (RS-7.5) to develop a 65-lot single-family <br /> residential subdivision and related improvements on approximately 11.054 acres of land. <br /> The anticipated product type is that of clustered single-family homes with smaller scale <br /> <br /> <br /> Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
