The property is located at the south end of Naniloa Street and adjacent to the White Sands Beach Estates and Keauhou View Estates Subdivisions, Kapalaalaea, North Kona, Hawaii. The State Land Use Boundary Amendment application requesting to change the State Land Use district for the subject property from Agricultural to Urban was previously transmitted to you by letter dated June 12, 2008. The Commission at its meeting on June 20, 2008, also approved the applicant's request for a Special Management Area Use Permit to allow the development of a 65-lot single family residential subdivision and related improvements. The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending favorable consideration of the change of zone: The applicant requests a Change of Zone from Agricultural 5-acre (A-5a) to Single-Family Residential 7,500 square feet (RS-7.5) to develop a 65-lot single-family residential subdivision and related improvements on approximately 11.054 acres of land.
