EMC-22 <br />Page 2 July 22, 2008 <br />Comm. 1331: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21, ARTICLE 5, SECTION 21-37 OF <br />(Bill 325) THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED) <br />RELATING TO THE SEWER CONNECTION LOAN PROGRAM (adds Honoka`a <br />to the list of connection sites authorized to participate in the Sewer Loan Connection <br />From Councilmember Dominic Yagong, dated July 9, 2008, transmitting the above <br />bill. <br />Comm. 1332: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20, HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br />(Bill 326) (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED) BY ADDING A NEW ARTICLE 5 <br />PERTAINING TO PLASTIC BAG REDUCTION (prohibits the use of <br />non-biodegradable plastic shopping bags by businesses and encourages the use of <br />environmentally preferable alternatives, such as recyclable paper bags or reusable <br />ba.~s. If for technical or other <br />unanticipated circumstances the video connection cannot be made and/or is disrupted, the scheduled <br />meeting will continue. <br />In the event of an unanticipated emergency situation, including but not limited to: severe adverse <br />weather conditions, road closures, or natural disasters, the Hawaii County Council and its Committees <br />may conduct its meetings via videoconference pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-3.5. If that <br />occurs, individual Councilmembers may be at either the meeting site or one of the videoconference <br />sites. If the audio stream is lost for more than a short period of time, the meeting will be terminated. <br />
