REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON HUMAN SERVICES & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> DATE: February 6, 1997 RE: COMM. 103 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 1:43 p.m. <br /> Chairman and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Economic Development and Human Services, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 103, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 103 is a letter from Mayor Stephen Yamashiro dated January 14, 1997, <br /> submitting for confirmation the appointment of Mrs. Diane Quitiquit as Director of the <br /> Department of Research and Development. Pursuant to Chapter 5, Section 5-5.2, of the Hawaii <br /> County Charter, the Director of the Department of Research and Development shall be appointed <br /> by the mayor and confirmed by the council. <br /> Several members of the Committee stated their support and admiration for Mrs. Quitiquit.
