N0.488 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:05 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Pazks, to which was referred Communication No. 488 <br /> and attached Resolution No. 157, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Resolution No. 157 is to authorize the County, pursuant to section 23-10 of <br /> the Hawaii County Code and azticle XIII, section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, to <br /> accept a dedication deed transmitting real property for road and drainage purposes from the <br /> following: David M. Peters, Charles A. Kekumano and First Hawaiian Bank, a Hawaii <br /> corporation, Trustees of the Liliuokalani Trust, acting in their fiduciary and not their <br /> individual capacities. <br /> <br /> The dedication deed is for roadway lots which would widen Palani Road by 20 feet on each <br /> side. The lots are identified as Tax Map Key No. (3) 7-4-008: Portion 001 and Tax Map <br /> <br /> Key No: (3) 7-4-020:Fortion 014. <br /> <br /> Communication No. 488 is a letter from Deputy Corporation Counse] Gerald Takase, dated <br /> September 10, 1997, which transmits Resolution No. 157 to the County Council for its <br /> <br /> review and consideration. He states that the deed has been reviewed by the Department of <br /> <br /> Public Works, Department of Water Supply and the Planning Department, and all have <br /> <br /> recommended acceptance of the dedication deed. Al] subdivision improvements have been <br /> <br /> completed. <br /> During discussion it was mentioned that Parcel A (7-4-020: Portion 014) of the Palani Road <br /> Widening Project is for future additional widening of the road with possible left and right <br /> <br /> turns. <br /> <br />
