REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND PARKS <br /> DATE: January 6, 1998 RE: COMM. NO. 633 /RESOLUTION NO. 202 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 9:05 a.m. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks, to which was referred Communication No. 633 <br /> and Resolution No. 202, reports as follows: <br /> The purpose of Resolution No. 202 is to authorize the County, pursuant to Section 23-10 of the <br /> Hawaii County Code and Article XIII, Section 3-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, to accept a <br /> dedication deed transmitting real property for road and drainage purposes from the Housing <br /> Finance and Development Corporation (HFDC), a public body and a body corporate and politic <br /> of the State of Hawaii. HFDC is the developer of the Villages of La'i'opua, Phase I. The <br /> dedication deed is for roadway lots within the Villages of La'i'opua, Phase I, identified as Tax <br /> Map Key (3) 7-4-20 and 21 (portions). <br /> Communication No. 633 is a letter from Gerald Takase, Deputy Corporation Counsel, dated <br /> December 8, 1997, which transmits Resolution No. 202 to the County Council for its review and <br /> consideration. It also states that the deed has been reviewed by the Department of Public Works, <br /> Department of Water Supply and the Planning Department, and all have recommended <br /> acceptance of the dedication deed.
