No. 687-08 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 11:19 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 687-08, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 687-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication <br /> No. 1298, dated June 18, 2008, authorizes the acceptance of the donation with an estimated total of <br /> $9,650 from Michael Sasaki of Sasaki Monuments. The donation includes a granite sign, matching <br /> stands, stainless steel rods, letter template, sandblasting, installation and freight costs to the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation for `Alae Cemetery. <br /> <br /> Ms. Patricia Engelhard, Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation expressed gratitude to <br /> Mr. Sasaki for the donation. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br /> County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. <br /> <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Sasaki Monuments, Attn.
