No. 1288/Bill 316 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Ben Franklin Bldg, 2"d Floor <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> TIME: 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 1288, regarding Bill 316, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Bill 316, transmitted by Director of Public Works, Bruce McClure, via Communication <br /> No. 1288, dated June 5, 2008 amends Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-284, schedule <br /> 32 (Two hour parking areas), paragraph (c) South Hilo, subparagraph (9), of the Hawaii County <br /> Code 1983 (2005 Editions, as amended), is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(9) Kamehameha Avenue, from Waianuenue Avenue to Ponahawai Street, except for <br /> applicable bus stops and loading zones during specified times as outlined in chapter 24, <br /> article 10, divisions 3 and 6." <br /> <br /> The intent of this amendment is to update the Hawaii County Code. <br /> <br /> There was no testimony from the public on this proposed bill. <br /> <br /> Traffic Division Chief Ron Thiel appeared before your committee.
