(1) <br /> a. Develops Internet listing of websites of interest to caregivers. <br /> b. Locates, examines and orders appropriate printed material. <br /> c. Locates and orders appropriate media material. <br /> d. Creates opportunities for the dissemination of information to caregiver population. <br /> e. Monitors State and Federal Legislation which impacts caregivers. <br /> f. Develops and designs brochures, information and educational presentations and displays <br /> for community events. <br /> g. Appears at community meetings to speak on topics of interest to caregivers. <br /> h. Writes news articles and caregiver column for office newsletter. <br /> i. As a member of the ADRC staff assists callers and walk-in caregivers with consultations <br /> on the best available services for their particular need and provide active listening <br /> compassionate counsel. <br /> <br /> B. Monitoring and Evaluation 15% <br /> <br /> 1) In cooperation with assigned Office of Aging Planner, meets all research and reporting <br /> requirements of agency, government and private funding sources. <br /> a. Develops and establishes procedures for collecting data to report program utilization and <br /> program effectiveness and satisfaction. <br /> b. Prepares project status reports. <br /> c. Continuously reviews and assesses availability and appropriateness of services. <br /> d. Collects in Hawaii County Office of Aging database and other venues as required program <br /> data to identify caregiver needs and determine if goals and objectives of program are being <br /> met. <br /> <br /> C. Advocacy 10% <br /> <br /> 1) Intervenes and advocates on behalf of older persons or the caregiver through referral, reporting, <br /> networking, and other appropriate methods. (1,2) <br /> 2) Represents the Office of Aging at meetings, projects, conferences, training sessions, and special <br /> events. (2) <br /> 3) Visits individual communities regularly and meets with key organizations, individuals, and <br /> agencies within the community to promote coordination and improve communication.
